Who We Are

Sluice Box Sled Dogs is located in the hills west of Fairbanks Alaska where the temps are warmer then the valley bottoms and the sunsets last forever.

We are a working kennel that offers mushing lessons, tours and husky love to travelers. Come late winter early spring we head north to the Arctic to haul in supplies for a small prospecting operation.

What a trip! Literally great trip through a beautiful Grove of trees filtering the sunlight. The dogs get so excited and then off they go, and in silence they fall into unison, only the easy breaths and pitter patter of feet gently break through the snow! Absolutely wonderful, and what a way to live every day with your dogs! Greg and Christen were delightful and their love for their dogs shines through. Absolutely fantastic experience with Greg and his delightful dogs! This adventure was a true bucket list moment for our entire family. Smushing at -34 degrees added an exhilarating twist, and the thoughtful rotation every lap allowed us to take turns and warm up in the cozy cabin with the friendly dogs between each lap. Riding standing up was a breeze, and the scenic trail through the woods was nothing short of breathtaking. The dogs' boundless enthusiasm added an extra layer of joy to the entire experience. Greg's exceptional hospitality shone through as he generously offered warmer boots and gloves for an even more comfortable ride. Highly recommend this memorable and well-crafted adventure!

Had a really good time with greg and the team. had plenty of time to play with the dogs, all of which were extremely friendly, and even got to pet jasmine the reindeer at the end. many rescues on the property and the dogs were so well taken care of. and of the course sled ride was a ton of fun. highly recommend!

Thrilling experience and the staff were so friendly. Happiest dogs we’ve ever seen- would recommend for anyone who’s visiting. Greg went above and beyond and helped us with car trouble en route to location.
