Until one has loved an animal, a part of one's soul remains unawakened.
Funky Stuff
Funky is the glue that holds everyone together. She knows what you are thinking before you do but is sweet enough not to brag about it. She is a great leader and an expert in the art of cuddling. She will always be our number 1 dog.
Her siblings are Little J and Dukes.
Little J
It doesn’t matter if it’s well groomed trail, waist deep snow or knee deep overflow; J will pull the team right on through. J is a stoic boy who loves post-run butt rubs and cuddles. He enjoys the morning sun and watching me work from cat-like perches around the creek.
His siblings are Funky Stuff and Dukes.
Dukes
He has one of the biggest hearts in the kennel. Dukes has an endless drive on the trail and no shortage of love at camp. His loyalty is so dedicated, he refuses to chase moose or bite porcupines. Dukes knows that our love is better than ice cream and enjoys as much as he can get.
His sibling are Funky Stuff and Little J.
Leroy
Also known as Big Daddy, WhubWhub and DJ Whubstep, and is the largest lap-dog you’ll ever meet. He is an amateur ornithologist and loves ducks. On summer adventures he spends most of his time swimming and frolicking in the streams and rivers. Leroy is always eager for his next adventure and when it’s time for bed down in the tent, he makes a fantastic pillow.
July
Well July went from up an coming to one of our best lead dogs in the pack! July is hard driving and unbelievably loyal, he makes for a remarkable backcountry dog. From river-crossings and trail-breaking, to chilling on the couch watching movies, he is mastering the art of being an all-around wonderful companion.
Astrid
This is our “Princess and the Pea.” She hates to be left out and throws a fit when she’s not allowed on the couch. She haters camping and typically has too much to say if she does not get her way. She prefers a life of leisure accepting any all free hands.
Gilbert ( little pup on the left)
Gilbert is the sweetest and most sensitive giant dog you’ll ever meet.
He is hard driving lead dog that will auger right into your sleeping bag back at camp. He loves adventures, voles and belly rubs.
Irie
AKA our little trash panda might be the smallest in the kennel but she has the most to say, Irie is a super sweet little gal who loves to cuddle just not with other dogs. Whenever we are stopped she becomes the team’s cheerleader.
Bob
He is in a constant state of motion never to be found in the same place twice. Bob is a simple fellow and makes a great team dog. He likes his butt and chest rubs but prefers to spin circles outside in the yard when not working.
Hunter
Known as our tiny dancer, Hunter relaxes in the sun and prances on the porch when we get home. He doesn’t like to work unless it involves sitting on dog house watching the world go by. This mellow dude is content with love, meat treats and a sunny spot to relax.
Ava
Not a little pup anymore Ava has turned into monster who has a tenacious attitude and a fierce appetite. She wants three things in life 1. Breaking trail 2. Stuffies that are less needy then her real babies 3. cuddling up in the tent. She is full of love and built for power. She is the niece of Funky Stuff, Little J, and Dukes.
Bella
Is our squiggly noodle. She loves yoga and has a morning stretching routine to keep her self nice and limber. Bella is non stop with the other puppies always trying to find someone she can wrestle and play with.
Tamarack
Awkward is spelled T A M A R A C K. Still growing into her legs, this wonderful critter wants nothing more than to be in your pocket at all times. Full of love and super playful, Tamarack has the easy life of wrestling with the other puppies and enjoying the couch.
Willow
This Sassy Gal has certainly grown into her own. Willow has become a fantastic wheel dog and tries her best to keep Leroy in line. She does a great impression of Hulk Hogan when nesting in for a cuddle. Full of life and love willow is one great adventure buddy. Half Sister of Gilbert and Abner.
Soapy Smith, Georgia Lee, Minnie
These Three siblings are as thick as thieves. Still growing and turning into little love mongrels these guys are a constant joy to have around. A fine combo of Dopy, tenacious and a dolphin these critters will keep you entertained for hours. Ava is their mom.
P. Swayze, Roscoe
These 2 brothers came to us though the rescue program and have just been a shot of sweetness to our kennel. They are hard driving little race dogs that are stuck in a world of giant dogs. About half the size of our average male dogs these guys make up for it with their playful personalities.
Odessa, Rufus and EyK
These little critters are one of the best accidents the side of Fairbanks.
Ava and July are their parents and they are every bit their puppies. Sweet and cuddly to tenacious appetite these guys will keep you moving and chasing until its nap time.
